Hilt description:
This Karud, a member of the Pesh Kabz has restored bone slabs constitutes the hilt held in place by brass rivets. The hilt has been restored recently and is of sound construction and structurally solid, with no losses and a nice feel in hand. The hilt is complete with steel bolsters.
Blade description:
The characteristic T-spine steel blade is in good condition with a sharp edge. This piece has a lovely pattern welded watered steel blade, a vivid pattern with good contrast on the blade. The blade shows a gentle and subtle recure towards the tip. This piece comes in a fine engraved brass scabbard, showing an inscription in Persian, probably the owners name.
The piece is in good condition and has been well restored to preserve this piece of history with a replacement hilt and to bring out its beautiful pattern welded blade. This fine blade is useable once again, housed in its original scabbard. This has good research potential should the new owner wish to discover more about the inscription.
