Hilt description:

This Kard has an incredibly thick hilt composed of horn and steel. The large grip scales are indicative of Persian origin, towards the end of the 19th century. The hilt is secure and measures 5 CM at its thickest point, which is incredibly thick compared to other Kards and Indo-Persian daggers in general and a very attractive and unique feature.

Blade Description:

This blade is of typical Persian Kard form with a tapering blade to the tip, it has smooth transitioning bolsters from the hilt to the blade and is an aesthetically attractive steel blade. Some minor chipping and dirt but in very solid condition.

This is a beautiful and genuine example of a Persian Kard without the frills usually seen on the higher-end pieces which can limit experience with these types of blades. This makes it ideal for a starter collector to experience the nuances of a Kard without buying the much more expensive and sparse higher-end pieces. A great starter Kard.
